Dubbed ‘Residency by Adidas’, the program will give digital artists from around the world the chance to showcase their work and collaborate with the brand on both digital and physical items.

The program was introduced by the brand’s Three Stripes Studio (also known as /// Studio), which launched in January to oversee Adidas’s Web3 efforts.

It will launch globally on September 7 during Korean Blockchain Week in Seoul, with artworks created by the residency’s first participating artists. They include Tokyo-based MonkeeMoto and Lebanese artist Adra Kandi, also known as Dear Nostalgia.

Each artist will equally introduce a limited edition NFT drop, restricted to just 100 works per artist, and priced at 0.15 ETH. Each will only be available for attendees of the Seoul event.

“This project is another big step for our Studio as we continue to explore, experiment and diversify our impact and value in the Web3 Community. When we looked at what our brand and community has represented in this space, as well as the reaction to our Open Editions in Berlin and NYC, it felt like such a natural step to go ‘all in’ and create an even stronger pathway and platform for some of the coolest and most engaging artists in our Community,” said Stacey King, global head of communications and activation for the Adidas /// Studio.

“Residency represents all of this and more to come. We’re excited for the digital, physical and linked drops that will follow – all in parallel to our continued plans to build ALTS by adidas into one of the best projects in Web3.”
