NEW DELHI: Chandrayaan-3‘s Vikram lander has soft-landed on Moon, once again, the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) said on Monday. The lander exceeded its mission objectives and successfully underwent a hop experiment, according to a post by the space agency on X (formerly Twitter). Describing the softlanding, Isro said, “On command, it fired the engines, elevated itself by about 40cm as expected and landed safely at a distance of 30-40cm away”. Explaining the importance of the achievement, the Indian space agency said, this ‘kick-start’ enthuses future sample return and human missions!
