NEW DELHI: Rishabh Pant has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets. He is currently following a BCCI fitness programme designed for him which includes strength, flexibility and running.
A video that is doing the rounds on social media shows Pant batting in a practice match. The video shows Pant walking out to bat with loud cheers from the crowd.
The Indian wicketkeeper-batsman then gets in the groove with a couple of big hits.
India have badly missed Pant since his horrific car crash in December. Pant underwent ligament surgery earlier this year after suffering multiple injuries in a car crash, but his chances of making the World Cup is slim as he continues his recovery. Pant had “commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets”, according to a recent BCCI release.
