A violent gun fight erupted between two passengers, on a packed Brooklyn train, Thursday afternoon, during which a straphanger shot the apparent agitator in the head, New York Post reported.

According to New York Police Department (NYPD) Chief Michael Kemper, the fight erupted between a 32-year-old and an “aggressive” 36-year-old on northbound Train A.

According to video obtained by the police, the 36-year-old, can be heard and seen instigating the other man as well as hurling curses.

The two men soon began fighting, pouncing on each other.

During the skirmish, the alleged aggressor, who had, what looked like to be a knife or a razor, took out a gun from his black jacket.

After that the train erupted in screams, with other passengers all rushing towards the other end.

The 32-year-old, whose name has not been revealed, managed to snatch away the gun, before shooting him multiple times.

Once the train stopped, all the other passengers rushed out, while police arrived at the station and arrested the shooter.
