A new celebrity has been evicted from Celebrity Big Brother 2024 after a massively tense live show which also saw Sharon Osbourne’s time come to an end.
The rebooted series is airing for the first time on ITV, with AJ Odudu and Will Best hosting, and on Tuesday night the pair were presenting live as the next booted celeb was revealed.
Last Friday saw Kate Middleton’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, become the first celebrity evicted, and just days later the remaining stars faced eviction with a public vote.
Lauren Simon was the second celebrity evicted from the show, and joked she had already packed her bags.
Speaking to AJ and Will outside, she said she was ‘feeling overwhelmed… I had the most amazing time’
Fern Britton, Louis Walsh and Lauren Simon had all been at risk of eviction after the celebrities nominated each other for the ones they wanted out.
However Zeze Millz had been due to be put up for eviction — but Sharon Osbourne, as special Big Brother lodger, chose to save her and put Fern in her place.
Sharon has also left the Big Brother house after her time as a lodger came to an end — but was first asked which contestant has had the ‘most lasting impact’ on her and who she wants to see in the final.
After a lot of dithering and first declaring she couldn’t choose, she went for Strictly star Nikita Kuzmin, as he is ‘beautiful inside and outside.’
She also said Levi Roots had left a ‘lasting impression’ on her, after joking she couldn’t pick Louis Walsh.
‘He’s got something I’m looking for. He’s at peace with the world, he only wants good things.
‘And I really hope his daughters call him because they don’t know what they’re missing. Pick up the phone to your dad.’
In an earlier episode, Levi had shared with Sharon that he has eight children by seven different women, and some of his daughters have previously spoken out about a feud between them.
Tuesday’s episode proved controversial as Irish stars Jedward were put on blast by former X Factor star Louis, who shockingly described them as ‘vile’ — but said they were good for the show.
Chatting to Colson Smith, Louis said John and Edward Grimes, better known by their duo stage name, were ‘vile, but they were great, I got 5 million quid for them.’
‘I swear on my mother’s life,’ he went on. ‘But they were vile.’
‘But they were novelty, it was great for the show — and it was all about the show.’
Jedward did not take the insult lying down, and hit back on X with a claiming ‘
Louis Walsh is a cold hearted b*****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died.’
The twins’ mother, Suzannah, tragically died from cancer in 2019.
They described her as ‘our biggest fan, supportive and wanted us to go out there and express ourselves’.
Celebrity Big Brother returns Wednesday at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
