The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without forwards John Tavares and Mitch Marner for Tuesday’s game against the St. Louis Blues due to an illness both players are dealing with, the team announced.
In a corresponding move, the Maple Leafs recalled goaltender Dennis Hildeby and forward Alex Steeves from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies on an emergency basis.
Toronto also loaned defenceman Max Lajoie to the Marlies.
