Former United States president Donald Trump expects Taylor Swift to be “loyal” to him in the upcoming election, not for his politics but for the money he made her, The US Sun reported.

In a post on Truth Social, the 77-year-old Republican presidential candidate said that he would be if the 34-year-old pop star supports current President Joe Biden.

“There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money,” Trump wrote.

He claimed that he helped Swift make money by signing into law legislation that aimed to provide artists with more equitable compensation.

“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Tayler Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will,” Trump wrote.

The Music Modernization Act was signed into law during Trump’s presidency, in 2018.

The former president also said he liked Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a star National Football League (NFL) player whose team, the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl today.

“Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!” he finished the post.

Rumours about the power couple’s influence on both the Super Bowl and the presidential election later this year have been swirling since the two became an item late last year.

This is not the first Trump has attacked Swift and her massive following in the past.

According to Rolling Stone, the Trump campaign is preparing for a “holy war” against the pop icon, who is expected to endorse Biden and is preparing to discredit her opinion.

For some conspiracy theorists, Swift and Kelce’s entire relationship was crafted as part of a ploy to win the Super Bowl and later the election for liberals.

While Kelce has never publicly supported a political candidate, the tight end has major endorsement deals with Bud Light and Pfizer — two companies that dealt with major controversies from right-wing audiences.

Swift endorsed Biden when he ran for the White House in 2020 against then-President Donald Trump. The two men are expected to face off again this year in November.
