Kanye West, aka Ye, has set the price for every item in his Vultures 1 collection at $20 (₹1,700).
In a surprising move, the 46-year-old rapper has offered to sell all items listed on the Yeezy website for just $20 each. However, there’s a catch: the shipping cost for all orders is between $50 and $70 (₹4,150-₹5,810).
Among the items in the collection are Ye’s recently launched Yeezy Pods, originally priced at $200 (₹17,000).
Many fans on Twitter are theorizing that this pricing has been introduced to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Ye’s debut album, The College Dropout.
Rolling Stone India has contacted the “Follow God” rapper’s representatives for comment.
Ye’s debut studio album, Vultures 1, in collaboration with singer Ty Dolla Sign, was released independently through Ye’s brand YZY on February 10th.
The album contains collaborations from Lil Durk, Bump J, JPEGMAFIA, Freddie Gibbs, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Quavo, and Ye’s oldest daughter, North.
Vultures I is the first album released by Ye and Ty Dolla Sign. The duo plans on releasing a second volume on March 8th, with the third following on April 5th.
