A 26-year-old Richmond Hill man is wanted for attempted murder after a terrifying road rage incident involving allegations that a vehicle was used as a weapon.

York Regional Police were called on Wednesday at about 9:10 p.m. to the intersection of Oneida Cres. and Red Maple Rd. for a vehicle crash.

Officers arrived on scene and found a black Kia sedan that had struck a light pole.
The driver had fled on foot, police said.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle, a Honda Civic, was being treated by emergency responders.
Police said the incident began in the Bantry Ave.-Yonge St. area when the driver of the Kia pulled up beside the victim and flashed him with a flashlight while “brandishing a knife and threatening to kill him.”
“The victim continued to Oneida Crescent, where he exited his vehicle to confront the suspect. The suspect then ran at the victim with a knife,” Const. Lisa Moskaluk alleged in a news release on Thursday. “The victim got back into his vehicle and drove a short distance where he once again exited his vehicle. At that time, the victim told police the suspect intentionally drove his vehicle at him, striking him, before hitting the pole.”

The victim was treated for minor injuries.

The suspect was last seen heading west on Oneida Cr.
A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
The suspect – Jarret Koworvski Jean Louis – is described as being 5-foot-8 with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black, puffy, waist-length winter jacket, white T-shirt and grey sweat pants.
He faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and uttering death threats.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, and to anyone who may have dashcam footage or video surveillance of the area around the time of the collision, to come forward.
