Lovers of music, food and Queensland’s iconic outback can soon get ready for an unmissable
experience as Queensland Music Festival (QMF) today announces its spectacular QLD Music Trails’
Outback Trail will return for another year in 2024.
Across nine action-packed days from 13 – 21 April 2024, festivalgoers and Autumn school-
holidaymakers can embark on the adventure of a lifetime filled with a tapestry of music, cultural
experiences, rich flavours, local hospitality, and more, whilst exploring the rugged beauty of
Queensland’s heartland.
From soulful folk melodies under the starry skies to foot-stomping country tunes, the Trail will
feature sounds from a diverse mix of beloved local, QLD-based, and national musicians, taking over
Queensland’s small outback town pubs, main streets, and public spaces.
Country Music artist Tori Forsyth, who released her single ‘Sometimes’ featuring Shane Nicholson
recently, will perform during the Outback Trail, and said that she is “…absolutely thrilled to be getting
out to South-West Queensland on the Outback Trail in April. I have many fond memories of our
outback, and the people are so welcoming and fun! I can’t wait to perform and get to see the sights
and smiles in the crowd! It’s gonna be a good one!”
After seeing great success last year Daryl Raven, COO of QMF, is excited to share what they’ve got in
store for Outback 2024.
“Thanks to the support from the Queensland Government, our Trails created so many incredible
moments, and lifetime memories for locals, and visitors, throughout the state this year… something
which we can’t wait to do again with the return of the Outback Trail in 2024!”
“Regional Queensland is a place where the outback’s soul is intertwined with music, and the perfect
backdrop to invite music enthusiasts and other adventurous visitors from near and far to join us in
celebrating such a unique cultural tourism experience.” he says.
To help trail-goers on their way with all their adventure needs, QLD Music Trails has welcomed THL
onboard to give exclusive offers on RVs and to celebrate, QLD Music Trails and THL are thrilled to
present the Best of the West QLD Outback Giveaway! Punters can WIN a 9-day holiday along The

Minister for the Arts Leeanne Enoch said The Outback Trail will provide communities and visitors
with the extraordinary combination of live music, unique stories and the Queensland Outback.
“The Outback Trail will activate western Queensland places, spaces and communities in 2024 with
music events that celebrate local artists alongside national talent, realise regional development, and
generate cultural tourism outcomes,” Minister Enoch said.
“The Queensland Government continues to invest in QMF to support the delivery of our Creative
Together 2020-2030 roadmap.
