A gender reveal party in Mexico turned deadly when a plane crashed during a stunt.
The crash, which happened Sunday in San Pedro, killed the pilot.

In a video shared to social media, a plane can be seen in the distance flying low and approaching the happy couple in front of a sign reading “Oh Baby” that is adorned with coloured balloons.
At the exact moment the plane released red powder to signify a baby girl, the video shows the left wing separate from the aircraft and it then spun uncontrollably in the air. The video pans back to the couple embracing and a crowd cheering while confetti is sprayed.

The pilot was found in the wreckage a short distance away and was treated by paramedics at the site. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died, CNN reported.
There were no other reported injuries from the crash.
Gender reveal parties have become a popular way in recent years for couples to reveal the news of a child’s sex.

But some families have gone with over-the-top with dangerous ways to celebrate the news.
In March 2021, a plane crashed into the water in Cancun, Mexico, during a gender reveal party, killing the pilot and co-pilot.
In June the same year a couple in Fort McMurray, Alta., sparked a wildfire after an exploding target was used.
And in August 2021, a man in New Hampshire pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge after 80 pounds of explosives were detonated, which shook nearby homes.
