Billie Piper would smoke fags with Spice Girls during music career | Maqvi News

Billie Piper has revealed she would smoke cigarettes with the Spice Girls when they shared a dressing room at Top of the Pops, at the height of their music careers. The 41-year-old made the revelation during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, which airs on ITV on Saturday night.

The Doctor Who star is joined by Mel B as they recalled the time they spent with one another while topping the charts at a similar time. Billie said: “I was such a huge fan so imagine being 15 in a dressing room with The Spice Girls, I used to smoke cigarettes with you guys in the dressing room, you’d give me fags.”

Mel interjected: “That would have been me and Emma,” as Billie went on to add: “Yeah, it was you and Emma and we would sit on the floor at Top of the Pops smoking cigarettes and ashing in a plastic cup, it was heaven.”

The actress, who appeared on the ITV show to discuss her new eagerly-anticipated Netflix series scoop, also spoke about her children and if they have any interest in her glittering career.

She told Jonathan, 63, “My elder one couldn’t give a s**t, which I actually like, I think that’s a healthier response. I think I’ve got a fan in my youngest child, she will watch my music videos and ask to play my songs in the car and I’ll oblige.”

The Secret Diary of a Call Girl star also touched on her entry into the music industry as she expressed: “I was 14 when I signed my record deal, the same age as my eldest son which blows my mind but he isn’t that interested which I think is fine.”

The Masked Singer judge asked Billie if her children like any of her acting work, to which she responded: “They have no interest in me being in Doctor Who but they will come to a convention where there’s access to real famous people, genuine stars if there is access to Stranger Things, Marvel or Lord of the Rings.”

Billie is mum to two boys, Winston James, 11, and seven-year-old Eugene Pip, from her previous marriage to actor Laurence Fox.

She welcomed her third child, a baby girl, over Christmas 2019, with her rocker boyfriend Johnny Lloyd.
