A portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was also craftily edited, according to photo agency Getty Images.

In the portrait, the Queen sat among two of her grandchildren (Lady Louise and James, Early of Wessex) and eight great-grandkids (Lena Tindall, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Isla Phillips, Prince Louis, Mia Tindall, Lucas Tindall and Savannah Phillips).
It was released by Buckingham Palace last April to mark what would have been her 97th birthday.
The photo was taken at Balmoral in August 2022, just weeks before the monarch’s death.
The photographer? Kate herself.

Getty Images reviewed the photo and revealed the image was “digitally enhanced at source,” the Telegraph reported.
The publication noted several discrepancies including parts of the sofa being spliced together, visible black patches behind Princes George and Louis, issues with Savannah and Mia’s hair and lines on the Queen’s skirt not matching, among other issues.
“Getty Images has reviewed the image in question and placed an editor’s note on it, stating that the image has been digitally enhanced at source,” a spokesperson for the agency said.

The latest development came after Kate shared a doctored photo alongside her three children to celebrate Mother’s Day earlier this month.
But like with the latest photo featuring the Queen and the youngsters, online sleuths are dissecting all images associated with Kate.
Her recent appearance at a farm shop now has people throwing out conspiracy theories that the woman shown on the weekend was actually a body double — and not Kate.
While perhaps not as controversial, photos of Harry and Meghan have been downsized by Buckingham Palace.
Despite stepping down as working royals in 2020, full profiles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have remained on the Buckingham Palace website, along with the rest of the Royal Family — until now.

The couple’s individual portraits and lengthy biographies were replaced by a smaller, joint bio at the very bottom of the page — alongside the Duke of York.
Prince Andrew’s entry was also updated and shortened, punctuating his fall from grace.
Harry’s original profile was about 2,700 words, detailing his early life, army career, work with Invictus Games as well as an entire section devoted to “Supporting the Monarch,” and his duties supporting his late grandmother, the Daily Mail reported.
Meghan’s profile was about half the length of Harry’s, and included the charitable engagements she undertook while a working royal along with her education and career — but made no mention of her family.
The couple’s updated combined bio shows the two of them arm in arm on a beach in Australia, along with a 577-word write-up.
They are the only married members of the Royal Family now not to have their own individual profiles — but the palace did include a link to Harry and Meghan’s new Sussex.com website.
