In this post: Here’s the best places in Jeddah for meeting your mom friends – all the fun family friendly places for outdoor activities and coffee mornings!
If you have lived in Jeddah for any amount of time and are a woman (mom!) wanting to meet up with your friends and possibly you have kids in tow, I’m pretty sure, you’ve at some point asked yourself where is the best place to meet up! I mean what can you do with your friends, right?
Where can you go outdoors with friends and have some fun carefree, and come back home thinking, ‘ Oh I need to try this again!‘ Because to be honest, it’s hard to go anywhere with kids. I know.
Well… I’ve got a few ideas!
What’s the best places to meet your friends in Jeddah
Depending on how much time you want to spend outdoors and where in Jeddah you live, there are quite a few options actually.
For a quick ‘hello-hi-see-ya-later’ kind of a meet up, for just adults, some coffee or breakfast place would be nice. If you have kids with you, then possibly a theme park is better because you know, it is easier for moms to catch up while kids are playing (and making new friends too!)
If you want some relaxing time, a park or the corniche would be a better choice. You can have walking meet-ups, cycling meet-ups or even picnics!
May be you need a shopping buddy… because hey, don’t we all love shopping! (Say it with me: Jeddawis love shopping!!!)
Malls are great for shopping buddies. Especially, those malls that have a supervised play area where you can just drop the kids and leave!
Looking for a get-away? Then definitely an istraha, resort or a challet somewhere close by that you can rent for a day!
So now, let me give you a starting list. Please note that all though I am listing out places, this list is just an example. If you want a current best places list, join my email list! We have a whole community for you!

Theme Parks in Jeddah:
Theme parks require you to spend money but the good thing is that the kids will actually leave you alone to chat with your girls.
In the past when I had babies, theme parks were my least favorite places to meet mommy friends because I’d be busy with getting to the rides but with kids who are a little bit independent and able to manage themselves, theme parks may actually be great! You can leave the kids to play and run about while you sit in some corner sipping coffee with your buddies.

Istraha/Resorts/Challets
These places are great for not just family friendly meet ups but also for staycations! I am not going to list out places because well… these can be expensive and well…
However, here’s my advice about booking such places:
Always look for recommendations. If you know someone who has been somewhere, ask them how it was and how much it cost and all the details because sometimes places that are word of mouth are better than those that you go out of the blue.
Having said that there are a lot of fantastic hotels and resorts as well as private villas and istraha in and around Jeddah.
As you can see, I am not recommending any here… but you are welcome to join our communities and discuss it with my mom friends!
