Beauty brand Revlon plans to open around 300 brick-and-mortar stores and boost its presence in multi-brand outlets in the coming two to three years. The US-based business will harness an expanded retail presence to grow its customer base and increase its revenue.
“We have around 300 outlets and planning to go around 600 outlets and increase presence in 1,000 department stores to 4,000 department stores,” Revlon’s executive director and head of Revlon Indian subcontinent Meghna Modi told the Press Trust of India. “It will be in the next two to three years. We will also double our business next year.”
The business reported a turnover of approximately Rs 200 crore for the 2023 financial year. Revlon retails in the Indian market through a mix of e-commerce retail and brick-and-mortar stores and shop-in-shops. E-commerce currently accounts for a quarter of Revlon’s sales and the business is focusing on bolstering its social media presence to increase online brand visibility in the country, India Retailing reported.
In India, Revlon, retails through its country partner Modi-Mundipharma Beauty Products. The brand is increasingly targeting shoppers in Tier 2 cities to tap into the growing demand for branded beauty goods in non-metro areas. Revlon is also considering expanding its product selection in India by launching a fragrance line, the Press Trust of India reported.
