RiRi, Rocky, RZA, and… Riot Rose!
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their second son on August 1, and per a birth certificate obtained by the Blast, his name is Riot Rose Mayers. The name potentially pays homage to the rapper’s new track: “Riot,” featuring Pharrell Williams.

Rihanna previously gave birth to her first son, RZA Athelston Mayers, in May 2022. Notably, the brothers both have names that begin with the letter “R,” just like their parents. (A$AP’s legal name, lest you’ve forgotten, is Rakim Mayers.)
In February, Rihanna kicked off her 2023 Super Bowl halftime show performance by not-so-quietly announcing her pregnancy with Riot Rose. The singer proudly appeared on stage in a head-to-toe cherry red outfit—an Alaïa coat over a Loewe jumpsuit, both pieces bespoke—which accentuated her pregnant belly.
Here’s hoping Rihanna and Rocky get a little R&R—that is, rest and relaxation—soon. Juggling two babies under two years old can’t be an easy feat, even when you’re a global superstar. Especially if Riot lives up to his name…
